Resumen

El linfoma de Burkitt (lb) es un linfoma de células b no Hodgkin con alta incidencia en países del continente africano y en el mundo que se caracteriza por su rápido crecimiento y por su agresividad. A pesar de los grandes avances en la oncología, aún hace falta reconocer el diagnóstico oportuno por parte del equipo de trabajo del área de la salud. En esta revisión hemos contribuido en el estudio de la etiología, epidemiologia, cuadro clínico y patogenia del lb. Además, se revisan los distintos métodos diagnósticos que existen en la actualidad para la participación integral en salud.
